SHIPHRAH AND PUAH WIVES

I'm sure most of us would wonder what the topic means. It's not just for the ladies, guys you can also read *winks*. Shiphrah and Puah were egyptian midwives with a difference. Midwives are responsible for helping out pregnant women during delivery.
Shiphrah and puah were the midwives in charge of the Hebrew women(Israelites). They were given an instruction by Pharaoh to kill all male newborn sons and spare the female ones whenever an Israelite gave birth. (Exd 1:15-16).But they feared the Lord and refused to obey Pharaoh's law.

Pharoah called for them but with boldness they told him "the Hebrew women were different from the egyptian women and gave birth by themselves even before they got to them" (Exd 1:18-19). God saw how much they feared HIM and gave them families of there own.If they had not feared or honoured God, they wouldn't have families of there own.

So how does this relate to wives? Being a wife is beyond getting married, cooking for the family and having kids. A wife is a female who is married to the right man, virtuous, Godfearing, allows God rule her home, brings up her kids in the way of the Lord, submissive to her husband.A wife must be bold in an honouring way and be ready to go the extra mile to obey God.

It's not until you becoming a wife before you think of having the fear of God. As young ladies and singles, it should be a part of our life.
