A NEW BEGINNING

            From the city gates, you could see her house built in the city. So popular among the men and not ashamed of her source of livelihood, her house was the first stop for the two visitors who came into the city that fateful day. We need a lodge they told her and while trying to prepare a place for them to spend the night, the Kings guards rushd in. Where are they? Bring them out.....they are spies..they screamed at aher. Mustering up courage, she replied "though two men came here but I don't know where they came rom.. they left before the gates were shut as it got dark; quickly run after them for you will overtake them. Without a second thought, they rushed out runing after them. Unknown to them the men were safely hidden on the roof of her house.

     When she was sure they had gone, she brought them down and said to them " I've heard about everything the Lord has done for your people but swear to me that you would show I and my family kindness when the Lord gives you our land and they swore unto her. Late at night, she let them down  with a rope through the window in the city wall and the visitors escaped.Days later, the city and the occupants were destroyed except her and her family.







The woman is no one else but RAHAB.This one encounter with the Israelites changed her life for good. Don't forget Jesus Christ came from her lineage. It's not too late for a new beginning, you can encounter God today.
